{"id":139,"date":"2010-06-30T23:29:55","date_gmt":"2010-07-01T06:29:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/photosbygarth.com\/wordpress\/?p=139"},"modified":"2011-06-03T19:53:39","modified_gmt":"2011-06-04T02:53:39","slug":"oregon-coast-06-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/photosbygarth.com\/wordpress\/oregon-coast-06-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Oregon Coast \u2013 Redwoods, Rogue River &#038; Gold Beach"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Oregon Coast &#8211; Redwoods, Rogue River &amp; Gold Beach<\/h2>\n<p>June 26, 2010<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">On our way North from Arizona to Salem, OR we stopped  in Gold Beach to explore the Oregon Coast and Rogue River.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Rays of Light Shining through Redwoods in the Fog\" src=\"https:\/\/photosbygarth.com\/travels\/Oregon6-26-10\/100626_9019.jpg\" alt=\"Rays of Light Shining through Redwoods in the Fog\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-align: left;\">We got an early start (for us) this morning and drove through the Redwoods along US101 in the fog. It was a beautiful, wild ride. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Light Shining through Redwoods in the Fog\" src=\"https:\/\/photosbygarth.com\/travels\/Oregon6-26-10\/100626_9028.jpg\" alt=\"Light Shining through Redwoods in the Fog\" width=\"485\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Light rays shining through the tops of  huge Redwood trees in the fog near the OR border on US101 in Northern CA.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Rogue River, OR\" src=\"https:\/\/photosbygarth.com\/travels\/Oregon6-26-10\/100626_9052.jpg\" alt=\"Rogue River, OR\" width=\"600\" height=\"485\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-align: left;\">Stopped in the first town past the Oregon border to have breakfast. Got up to Gold Beach by 2:30 and pulled into Indian Creek RV Park and set up camp. The park was nice with a creek not far from our rather narrow campsite. Since it was still early we decided to go for a drive along the Rogue River<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Dog on Rocky Beach\" src=\"https:\/\/photosbygarth.com\/travels\/Oregon6-26-10\/100626_9041.jpg\" alt=\"Dog on Rocky Beach\" width=\"600\" height=\"486\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We stopped for a little while on a rocky beach and let the dogs run along Rogue River.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Cargo Ship near mouth of North Jetty in Gold Beach, OR\" src=\"https:\/\/photosbygarth.com\/travels\/Oregon6-26-10\/100626_9144.jpg\" alt=\"Cargo Ship near mouth of North Jetty in Gold Beach, OR\" width=\"600\" height=\"384\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-align: left;\">Then out to the Pacific and sat on the North Jetty for awhile, feeding Seagulls and watching a small cargo ship trying to get in the channel.
