A New Mac PowerBook G4

8/13/04 - A Very Good Day
Our house in Redwood Valley has finally sold and we signed the papers today in McMinnville. It was a great day because now we can order our new diesel pusher, pay off some debts and buy some other cool things. We also went to DMV and got our Oregon drivers licenses. Except for a couple of weird things going wrong in the evening it was a great Friday the 13th.

8/15/04 - Back to the Oregon Coast
Today we went for a drive over to the Oregon coast again, but this time we headed North. We had a great time discovering a place called Sand Lake, the Cape Meares Lighthouse and several small towns along the way. When we got to Tillamook (Map) it seemed like the place was deserted. When we stopped at a gas station we were told that the County Fair had just ended and people were just laying very low after all the excitement. We then discovered a very cool little roadside stand that sold fruits, vegetables, gifts, plants, statues, cards, and many other things. They even have a bakery. We bought a cool t-shirt and some other things.

8/17/04 - Oven Repair
This morning we had our oven repaired. It was one thing that no one bothered to check before we moved in, and needed major repairs. Fortunately we bought a Home Warranty that covered it for us.

8/18/04 - Breezeway
Today Tom started working on enclosing the breezeway between our house and garage. My wife wanted to turn it into a screen room, with Cedar at the lower part of each end and wooden screen doors.

8/19/04 - Computer Saga Ends
The correct fan finally came in so we went back up to Washington Mall to get it replaced today. We then went to a place called City Liquidators where we discovered all kinds of furniture, household good, etc. at closeout prices. We bought a small desk for my office for about $70 and some other things. Tom worked on the breezeway screen room in our absence.

8/20/04 - A New Computer To Travel With
Today we drove up to Beaverton and we bought not only the Apple PowerBook that I've been wanting to have on our travels, but a new 17Ó Apple monitor and a 40MB iPod as well. Then we went to Portland and found her a great used filing cabinet for a very good price. Tom finished the screen room and it looks beautiful.
